St Geezy
My family had a big get together this weekend at my parents holiday house in St. George. Oh it was amazing to get away from work and Utah County. All my family came down which i guess is not a ton but my brother and his 2 kids and my sister and Mum and Dad and the kids. It was so nice to just have a family weekend. We all went swimming and just hung out. It was nice to spend time with them since i am so busy i hardly even get to visit these days.
I miss hanging out with my mum! She always has been one of my best friends growing up and we talk about everything. Its weird not living at home anymore and just seeing her everyday and hanging out with her. I really do miss the quality time we used to spend together.
Hopefully we will be able to go down to St. George over memorial day weekend which is coming up soon :) yay

Mothers Day
Happy happy mothers Day to all you beautiful mothers out there. I got a picture of lila yesterday and wish me a happy mothers day. For all you out there that don't know, i placed Lila Faye for adoption. She is turning 2 in September! She is getting so big. Its crazy to think this time 2 years ago i was 6 months pregnant. It feels so long ago.
She was so little and sweet. Tomorrow i am going over to dinner to have a visit. I haven't seen her in months. Things have just been so busy and crazy.
Saturday was birth mothers day so happy birth mothers day to all you birth mums out there. All your adoptive mothers are grateful to you ladies who gave them such a wonderful thing.

Summer.
I am so excited its May. The sun is shinning and glorious summer days and nights are coming up. First summer being married! Lets see if i kill him before summer :) We are going to St. George this weekend for mothers day. My parents have a house down there and last summer build this huge pool there. This will be the first time swimming in it for me! We shall see if anyone dies this weekend because its my whole family going down.
Grades have still not been posted for the University of Utah. What is going on!!! Im anxious. I only have one grade posted so far and its a A-. I will not get as good as grades as last semester when i got a 3.9 for my GPA. This semester has been a rough one for me. First i got married then lived with dereks brother while our house was being built, then started a new job where i work 8 to 5. I missed half of my classes because i had to be at work. UGH im just so happy this semester is over. I am jealous of Derek because he already has his masters and im just working on my bachelors degree. Damn that old man. I am taking off the summer so i am happy about that. Derek wanted me to go to summer school (probably would have been the smartest move) but hey i want to relax and not stress this summer.
Yesterday i had a long day. I went to the gym during my lunch break and ran a couple of miles then went to crossfit after work and OF COURSE it was a really hard workout. I almost threw up from this workout it was so hard since i had already ran a few hours earlier. Then after crossfit i went home and cleaned my whole house. ( i took a lazy weekend and didn't clean) Oh boy my house is clean now though. Then after cleaning i had to work at my other job till 11pm. Then i went to bed. It was a long day. To make matters worse i didn't sleep well. I have been sleeping like a baby since on this diet but last night my brain wouldn't turn off and i kept worrying about stuff and thinking too much. So today is going to go by slow i think.
BUT its tuesday and i leave for geezy on thursday :) yay to getting fried in the sun and being lobster red. Oh how i curse my while freckly skin.

This weekend was sooooo hard on my diet. We had a huge family dinner on Sunday with a big Mexican meal. Derek and i had to bring our own food. WHO DOES THAT!!! I really wanted to go though cause my new niece was there :)
It seems to be baby season. I swear most people i know either are pregnant or having a baby. What is in the air people. It makes me so baby hungry, but then i have to remind myself i do NOT want a baby right now! I love babies but i can wait my turn :)

Whole30
Diet: The kinds of food that a person, animal, or community habitually eats.
The word diet is such a scary word. In reality its just what we eat. Why do we revolve around our lives around eating. I know i revolve a lot of my time around eating. When i was little i would wake up run to my mum and ask "whats for dinner?" I also have food in my hands in every picture when i was little, or spilled on my shirt. I love food. That is a fact. I still come home to my husband Derek and ask him whats for dinner. I love food way to much.
I am currently doing the whole30 diet. This is a health diet not to lose weight but to have a healthier life style. I wouldn't mind shedding a few pounds though i must admit. This diet you can only eat meat, veggies, fruit, and good fats like nuts, coconut oil, olive oil. So its been rough on me since im a sugar addict. I LOVE candy. I am almost 2 weeks in. This is a accomplishment for me. Seriously its sad i know. Its hard to be healthy. There is so much time put into planning my meals and time in the morning preparing my lunch. Jezz people who really does this??? It has been a huge learning experience for me too though. I have learned sugar is in almost everything we eat. I look at every label now because im not allowed any sort of sugar. Sugar is everywhere, it haunts me. Seriously why does every bacon brand have sugar???? (im allowed to have bacon on this diet, but can't if there is added sugar)
I am really glad i have been sticking to this diet and not cheating, ( i can't cheat, if i did i would have to start all over, no way in hell im doing that again) I sleep way better on this diet. I have always slept great so i can' t complain but i sleep even deeper and feel so refreshed in the morning. I hope this diet will teach me to eat healthier after the 30 days and not crave sugar and fatty foods so much. My body seriously has improved even from just 2 weeks. I can run better and have better workouts because im not so bloated from all the bad foods i eat.
I hope to change the way i feel about food and not crave food for taste but crave food for the nutrients and fuel for my body. Sounds cheesy but its true. I am a comfort eater at times and that is never healthy!!!
I really recommend this diet to people interested in becoming healthier. It really shows you how your body can feel with just good food and food that agrees with your tummy!! A lot of people don't realize they are allergic to foods until you do a diet like this because when you get back on grains and dairy again a lot of people get sick and realize that their body has a allergy to them. People just have been used to feeling bloated and gassy their whole lives but you really could be eating things your body has a hard time digesting! So try it out i really recommend it!
