Diet: The kinds of food that a person, animal, or community habitually eats.
The word diet is such a scary word. In reality its just what we eat. Why do we revolve around our lives around eating. I know i revolve a lot of my time around eating. When i was little i would wake up run to my mum and ask "whats for dinner?" I also have food in my hands in every picture when i was little, or spilled on my shirt. I love food. That is a fact. I still come home to my husband Derek and ask him whats for dinner. I love food way to much.
I am currently doing the whole30 diet. This is a health diet not to lose weight but to have a healthier life style. I wouldn't mind shedding a few pounds though i must admit. This diet you can only eat meat, veggies, fruit, and good fats like nuts, coconut oil, olive oil. So its been rough on me since im a sugar addict. I LOVE candy. I am almost 2 weeks in. This is a accomplishment for me. Seriously its sad i know. Its hard to be healthy. There is so much time put into planning my meals and time in the morning preparing my lunch. Jezz people who really does this??? It has been a huge learning experience for me too though. I have learned sugar is in almost everything we eat. I look at every label now because im not allowed any sort of sugar. Sugar is everywhere, it haunts me. Seriously why does every bacon brand have sugar???? (im allowed to have bacon on this diet, but can't if there is added sugar)
I am really glad i have been sticking to this diet and not cheating, ( i can't cheat, if i did i would have to start all over, no way in hell im doing that again) I sleep way better on this diet. I have always slept great so i can' t complain but i sleep even deeper and feel so refreshed in the morning. I hope this diet will teach me to eat healthier after the 30 days and not crave sugar and fatty foods so much. My body seriously has improved even from just 2 weeks. I can run better and have better workouts because im not so bloated from all the bad foods i eat.
I hope to change the way i feel about food and not crave food for taste but crave food for the nutrients and fuel for my body. Sounds cheesy but its true. I am a comfort eater at times and that is never healthy!!!
I really recommend this diet to people interested in becoming healthier. It really shows you how your body can feel with just good food and food that agrees with your tummy!! A lot of people don't realize they are allergic to foods until you do a diet like this because when you get back on grains and dairy again a lot of people get sick and realize that their body has a allergy to them. People just have been used to feeling bloated and gassy their whole lives but you really could be eating things your body has a hard time digesting! So try it out i really recommend it!
